Our wine shop continues a good tradition in the old house. In fact, the wine shop is older than the hotel. Already back in 1825, an honourary citizen in Horsens, Kjeld Thomasen Kjeldsen, ran a wine business in Lichtenbergske Palace. Later, the brothers Evald and Peter B. L. Eyde took over the wine business. The restaurant where the barrels were stored is named after them. Peter Eyde handed over the business to his co-consul Fogh Nielsen, who like him had built up a great knowledge and love of wine during his many years abroad.
In the wine shop you can find the right bottles for gifts, to accompany a nice dinner or just for relaxing at home.
Our dedicated staff love helping you find the right wine – as well as challenging experienced connoisseurs. Even though we pride ourselves on our knowledge of wine, we like to keep a down-to-earth approach. If you would like bottles with particularly fine grapes, our staff can also guide you through the premium drops in the wine collection.
Our wine bar is an extension of the wine shop. It serves everything your heart desires. Chilled rosé, cold draught beer, refreshing cocktails and the best wines from home and abroad. You can also find snacks, tasty charcuterie and light dishes in the bar every day of the week.
